For those who need a photo fix

Jax has graduated from the sling deal in the bath tub to sitting up himself. He thinks that he's pretty hot stuff now!
The other night, we were so tired during cereal that he just fell asleep with a mouthful of cereal.

Mohawk! Josh thinks it's awesome, of course.
Jax's first day of preschool. He had to look good for the ladies!

It makes me laugh that Jax can be screaming and purple in the face, but will stop if you kiss him. Granted, he usually goes back to screaming after you quit kissing him.
So tired from working out that he just fell asleep!
How not so messy he was after his first try at cereal. He was pretty clean that night, but is learning that he can spread it all over his face if he does it when we're not looking.
This stuff isn't so bad!
First try at cereal!

2 Teeth Baby!

I am officially never knocking on wood again. The first time I did was when family asked how I'd been feeling when I was first pregnant and I said I was feeling good. Within a few day, I was throwing up or nauseous whenever I was in a car.

Last week, I knocked on wood with the whole teething thing. Bad idea. The next day at daycare, Jaxon cried all day and cut one tooth. (When Jax started daycare, I worried he'd cry all day since he'd sort of taken to crying when around people he hadn't seen before or in a long time. Now I worry that he'll cry all day because his teeth hurt and make Chelsa crazy!) Since then, he's been pretty crabby and goes back and forth between sleeping well and not at all.

Today, the second tooth cut through. I am hoping for a pain and crying free break to give him some relief. Tonight he is more like the non-teething version of himself! Yay!

This weekend, Josh and Cody are venturing to Jamestown to the Stampede and Jaxon and I will be keeping company with little miss Keegan. I'm excited for Jax to have a playmate for at least a couple hours on Saturday and Sunday!

Almost Forgot

Jax also has 3 teeth working on poking their way through. For the most part, it doesn't seem like he's too bothered by it (yet). Knock on wood. One of the teeth that's coming through, I had seen a couple months back, but Josh didn't believe that's what it was and then it went back down so we wrote it off as nothing. And now that tooth is back and closer to coming through.

That means that my favorite gummy smile is going to turn into a toothy one!

14 pounds!

Well, we lived through the first week of school and daycare. The week went by crazy fast, or I would have updated sooner. Really though, not a whole lot went on but school, daycare, and sleep.

This week at Tender Transitions, Jaxon weighed 14 pounds, 1 ounce. He's been eating cereal once a day for the last couple weeks and I think he's finally getting the hang of the whole spoon thing. He's up to eating 1/4 cup of cereal each time and so soon he'll start having it two times a day.

He's also started rolling over from stomach to back, on occasion. Sometimes I think that it's on purpose, but about half the time I think it's an accident and he just happens to fall over cuz of his fat head. ;)

Tomorrow

Preschool starts tomorrow. Jaxon starts daycare tomorrow. (Insert sad face here.)

Tonight was open house for preschool, it went well. Jax was in a good mood all day, which surprised me because we'd spent the afternoon at school setting up stuff and after about 2 hours he had maxed out on that sort of fun. We came home so he could get in a good nap before we went back to school to finish (it was actually a nap longer than 20 minutes!). We were back to school by 4:00 and he was sooo good and didn't even cry or get crabby until around 6:50, ten minutes before we were done for the day.

I am sad for Jax to start daycare, but I believe that there's at least one baby close to him in age for him to play with there. Tonight, at open house, he "met" Chelsa so (if baby's have much of a memory for quick meetings) at least tomorrow I won't be dumping him off with a person he's never seen and has never seen him. She's excited to take care of him, so I think that makes me feel better about the whole thing.

In other news, Jax has learned to scoot himself around (I have no clue how he does it) so I can put him one place and come back a little bit later and he's moved someplace else. If I lay him on the play gym, he slides himself down under the overhead bar and moves so he's parallel to the bar. He's also working pretty hard at rolling over these days.

Double and a Quarter Date

The same day of Jaxon's 4 month appointment, we went mini golfing and to dinner with Tim and Shera. It was good to see them - it was the first time they've seen Jax since May!
It was interesting trying to golf and see around a wiggly baby head!
